🧒 Child Safety Policy

Coast Basketball is committed to providing a safe, supportive environment for all tamariki. Every coach and volunteer has a responsibility to uphold these standards.

Key principles

  • The safety and wellbeing of children is always the first priority
  • All coaches must have a current Police Vetting clearance
  • Never be alone with a child in an unsupervised setting
  • Maintain appropriate physical and emotional boundaries at all times
  • No photography or videography of players without explicit parental consent
  • Any concerns must be reported immediately to the Operations Manager

Reporting a concern

If you have a concern about the safety or wellbeing of a child, report it immediately to the Operations Manager at naomi@hibiscuscoast.basketball or call directly. Do not investigate concerns yourself.

📝 Incident Report

Complete this form as soon as possible after an incident. It will be sent directly to the Operations Manager. For life-threatening emergencies call 111 first.

Venue-specific safety information will be added here for each location Coast Basketball operates from. Contact the Operations Manager to add or update venue information.
